For Applicants whose primary language is not English, or whose previous education has been conducted in another language, Proof of English Proficiency is required as English is the normal language of instruction and communication at the Canadian Islamic College.
The language proficiency requirement is:
– a minimum TOEFL score of 600 (paper-based) or 100 (internet-based);
– an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.5 with no band below 6.0. The writing component of IELTS must not be below 6.5:
– Applicants who have results from recognized Canadian university English language testing services may submit their results for consideration.
Exemption from this requirement can be granted if you completed:
– at least one year of full-time study at another degree granting college or university in a country (or institution) where English is the official language of instruction.
– Studied at least 4 full years of study in English at an accredited high school in Canada or where English is the official primary language of the country, or
– Studies at least 4 full years of study at the high-school level where English is the primary language of instruction, or
– Completed One full year of study in an accredited university degree program in English in a country where English is a primary language or where English is the official language of the institution.
