
Dr. Ali Al-Halawani

Dr. Ali Al-Halawani is a seasoned educator, linguist, and content strategist with over two decades of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and academic leadership across Egypt, Malaysia, and Canada. He currently serves as the Content Production Manager at the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), where he leads the development of digital learning initiatives and eLearning resources for diverse audiences. Dr. Al-Halawani holds a Ph.D. in English Linguistics and Translation Studies from Al-Azhar University, with his academic work focused on Qur’anic collocations, semantics, and religious translation. He has taught a wide array of courses in English and Arabic linguistics, translation studies, and Islamic sciences at institutions including the International Islamic University Malaysia, Al-Madinah International University, and Siraj Institute. With a passion for education and outreach, he has authored three books, translated 16, published numerous academic papers, and delivered lectures and courses in Canada through public libraries and Islamic centers. His commitment to accessible education is evident in both his academic contributions and his community volunteer work. He is widely respected for his scholarship, pedagogy, and ability to bridge traditional Islamic knowledge with modern linguistic and educational methodologies.
